- USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr DD850
- DD850 now proudly displays her colors as a museum ship to educate the public and serve as a memorial to those who sailed aboard destroyers. She is a National Historic Landmark located in Battleship Cove at Fall River, MA and is a member of the Historic Naval Ships Association. Our mission with the USS Joseph P. Kennedy Jr DD850 is to not only preserve the history of the JPK but that of all her sister ships as well. DD850 has a facebook page.

The USS Higbee DD806

"The USS Higbee was the first American warship named
in honor of a woman. Mrs. Lenah S.
Higbee was superintendent of the Navy Nursing Corps
during the First World War. She was
awarded the Navy's highest decoration, the Navy
Cross for distinguished service in the line
of her profession and conspicuous devotion to duty".
