Clement Evariste Guidroz died Friday, February 16, 2018, at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. He was 83 years old and a graduate of ULL.
He entered the Navy in 1956 where he was assigned as a gunnery yeoman on the USS Lloyd Thomas. He was a pipe fitter, cattle farmer, and served his community as a Police Juror of Pointe Coupee for 23 years, a position he felt privileged to hold. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, loved the outdoors especially when he was working on his farm, and picking pecans in the fall.
He was passionate about LSU Football, New York Yankees Baseball, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gail Trabeaux Guidroz; a stepdaughter, Stacy Barron with her husband Doug, of Central, LA; a stepson Jason Cline with his wife Katie, of Austin, TX; 6 grandchildren Madeline Barron, Emily Barron, Olivia Barron, Joleigh Cline, Roman Grametbauer and Chandler Rozas; 1 sister, Loretta Segura of Jarreau, LA, and multiple nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph Guidroz and Amelia Clements Guidroz, and 1 brother Cecil Guidroz.
Visitation was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Services were conducted by Rev. Todd Lloyd. Interment followed at Chenal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Pete Trabeaux, Brad Trabeaux, Randy Bonaventure, Mark Segura, Tim Daigle, and Keith Aguillard. Honorary pallbearer was Hartman Trabeaux, Jr. Special thanks to the physicians, and nursing staff at Lane Memorial Hospital and the Carpenter House.
