Phyllis Keener, of Catawissa, Missouri, was born May 9, 1930, in Spring Lake, New Jersey and entered into rest Thursday, May 7, 2020 in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 29 days.
She is preceded in death by, her parents, and six siblings, Lester Reynolds, May Parisi, Harry Johnson, Arther Bubadaias, Robert Bubadaias and Nancy Michaelson. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Paul Keener of Catawissa, Missouri, ten (10) children, Lester Starnes of Red Back, New Jersey, Wanda Starnes of Masauan, New Jersey, Reginald “Freddy” (Sharon) Starnes of Parma, Ohio, Annmarie Starnes of Maryland, Sherry McDonald of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Eileen Jernigan of Dale, Texas, Heidi Wier of Dale, Texas, Edith Eddelton of Lockhart, Texas, Walter (Catlin) Demming of Fenton, Missouri and Andrea Demming of Catawissa, Missouri, nineteen (19) grandchildren, twenty-six (26) great-grandchildren, three (3) great-great-grandchildren, one (1) sister, Shirley Fetzer of Brick, New Jersey, two (2) sisters-in-law, Donna Heisler of Cedar Hill, Missouri and Charlene (Jerry) Walden of Afton, Missouri, and many other family and friends.
Phyllis grew up in New Jersey, and was such an amazing lady. She had a heart of Gold and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Phyllis loved painting, traveling, thrift store shopping and going to garage sales. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation was Friday, May 15, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Service at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri. Interment followed at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations were asked to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, Tennessee 38148-0412.
